Free robotics workshops for your library
A hands-on Arduino robotics session for kids aged 8 to 12. We bring the robot kits, the student mentors and the plan. You bring the room.

What happens on the day
Kids work in pairs, each pair with its own robot. A student mentor sits with every few tables.
- Meet a real robotWe open with a demo of our competition robot and what it can do.
- BuildPairs assemble a four-wheel robot: motors, wheels, battery pack and Arduino.
- WireThey connect the motors and check every wire with a mentor before powering on.
- CodeThey upload the program that drives it, then change speeds and turns themselves.
- DriveA challenge course to finish, then questions about robotics and STEM.

Questions libraries ask
Do kids need any experience?
None at all. The session is built for kids who have never touched a robot or written a line of code.
Do we need computers?
Tell us what you have when you book. If your library has laptops or a computer room we'll use them; if not, we'll plan around it.
Can parents stay?
That's up to you. Many libraries invite parents to stay and watch the final challenge.
Who supervises?
An adult mentor attends every session alongside our student team, and we follow your library's own child safety procedures.
How far do you travel?
We're based in Liverpool and regularly work across Greater Sydney. Ask us about anywhere further.
